The Perfect Fall Day!

Andrew and Paula LOVED the rain!

Well, for Andrew, he just LOVES all sources of water...see earlier post! And for Paula, well, it just doesn't rain at all in the desert of Antofogasta, Chile! She was way excited to go run in the rain! They were soaked!

Emily and Andrew were outside right after breakfast that same day to play in the beautiful Fall morning sun! They were having so much fun and looking so ragged and cute!

Esther Cast Reunion - Picnic & Karaoke

We had a long awaited reunion this weekend for our Esther and the King cast! We watched our DVD of the production at a movie theater and then went for a picnic and some Esther Karaoke! It was fun, hilarious and for me....humiliating! (I told them all there was a reason I was the DIRECTOR! - I think they all realized why after they made me sing and dance a song Haman did!)

Andrew's FULL TIME JOB!

Andrew now keeps a full time job!

His profession is DESTRUCTION! After stuffing a roll of TP down our toilet and flushing until it was brim full & clogged. He then strategically left it alone! I am sure this was part of his destructive plan, because his unknowing and "potty trained" sister got on the toilet and went pee and then she flushed! Well, within seconds I had a pool of pee water flooding my bathroom, the carpet and down the vent into my BRAND NEW basement. Brian was out of town!

Needless to say it was only seconds before I got to Emily's screams for help and the damage was already done. "Luck" would have that my Home Teacher just so happens to be in the Restoration business and he was at the house within 30 minutes of it happening. It's been just under 2 weeks since the flood and we are finishing the last step of restoration today... Carpet Cleaning (that I guess is the hidden bonus of having this happen).

Below are pictures of the initial work of restoring our house. It's been FUN!

As a side note, in the last 4 weeks we've had the following unexpected expenses:
1) Shattered Back Window in car and needed to be completely replaced - paid full auto deductible.
2) Electrician came out to fix some electrical issues we've been having.
3) the FLOOD - paid full homeowner's deductible.
4) Plumber came out just a few days later to UNCLOG ANOTHER TOILET Andrew stuffed a toy or "unknown hard object" down.
5) Brian's truck needed some unexpected work done.

They say they come in three's so can someone pre-volunteer to take my 6th one!

A Few Things Have Happened!

So, naturally... a few things have happened since my last post!
I had my 29th birthday! I hear that this is as old as you ever get!

Andrew received an awesome gift from his Uncle Mike and Aunt Jen for his birthday and he slept with his dinosaurs for the 1st few nights!
Too cute to leave out! He loves his "cowboy"!

AND.....We have two more daughters (Exchange Students)!
Paula from Chile and Jane from Germany have become part of our family and we love having them here!
